Abstract

The research is done to investigate the problem and issues in the supply chain of consumer goods in Bangladesh. To get more authentic and feasible data we collected our primary data using a pilot surveyed questionnaire from the consumers, wholesalers, suppliers, and consumer rights commission. The literature review is a descriptive section of the research where all the important theories, definitions, and frameworks were elaborated to understand the research more efficiently. In the literature review, the thoughts about supply chain management, the entities related to the supply chain, lower- and middle-class families, and the demand and supply of product importance and impact were identified. According to the findings of the primary data, in the supply chain of consumer goods, the suppliers are 40%, wholesalers 40%, and the authority is 20% responsible for the price hike of consumer goods. With a hypothesis and a sample test, it is found that the suppliers are responsible for the lack of supply and increase of price in the market and also for creating a monopoly in the market. In a short part, it is mentioned that the GDP of the people of Bangladesh is also affected negatively due to the price hike of consumer goods.
