Abstract

This paper explores the ongoing challenges in online medicine delivery and its supply chain

management from manufacturers to consumers. In Bangladesh, buying medicines online has not

become popular yet. Due to trust issues, the customers prefer buying medicines offline to online.

Medicine is a sensitive product to deliver. It can not be delivered like normal products. A strict set

of rules and protocols has to be maintained in the logistic process starting from the manufacturer

to the consumer. In this paper, we will broadly discuss the challenges of delivering temperature dependent medicines, delivering medicines through a random person, low stock of medicines in online platforms, not updated websites, and why customers are yet to adopt this new industry; also our proposal to solve the problem from the ground level.
