Abstract

This exploratory paper pursued to examine eclectic parameters that dominate the purchasing decisions of women of Bangladesh while shopping online as the country and the world witness a roaring shift towards online-shopping unremittingly. The study was conducted on 100 Bangladeshi females, all of them having habitual experience with business online, in the form of a developed questionnaire. The study identified variables and developed hypotheses before testing them using software for statistical analysis. The study detected a varied band of parameters as the conclusion to the study. Shift toward online shops in social media from website-based shops, effect of influencers trend and impact of personality trait are discussed in the forms of hypotheses, more so the study found few other variables that are considered important to the female consumers of the country. The cost of product, mode of payment, design of websites et cetera were among the discovered parameters in the study.
