Abstract

- In recent years, reverse logistics has received increasing attention in supply chain management (SCM) due to the economic, political, and environmental reasons. The aim of this study is to show that supply chain areas like lead time can be improved through well management of supply chain (SC) disruptions using Reverse Logistics Network (RLN). Uncertain parameters are one of the challenging characteristics of RLN to improve complex SCM network like that in pharmaceutical industries. We state here that by optimizing RLN design with the use of a centralized hub system product delivery time; recycling technique; disposing ways of outdated products will be managed at a greater efficiency hence minimizing operational cost while meeting the demand of that period.
